The Social Trip to Aboretum

It has all been study! study! study! and nothing but study! to the trainees at the Vocational Training College....... wao! this sounds serious, very serious indeed. But now the staff and trainees at VTC decide to do it the other way, this time round, somewhere away from the class environment. They took it to the arboretum for a social trip. It was fun...take a look at some of the activities and games played during the trip.
The nature walk with Teacher Steve, Irene and the trainees as they went past the arboretum's main entrance.

This was the first game 'The introduction' everyone had to introduce themselves before any activity took place.

He wanted to enjoy himself, maybe that's why he decided to play the ball alone.

HIV/AIDS Training

Eastleigh Community Centre hosted a group of staff from Blue House for a training in HIV&AIDS, Tuberculosis (TB) and other sexually transmitted diseases to Vocational Training College trainees. The training was educative as it addressed the challenges faced by young people in fighting the diseases, the possible ways to prevent the diseases and treatment of the same.

The power presentation was excellent as it touch

Discussions too were part of the training. This gave the trainees a platform to discuss the major issues they face in their society when it comes to HIV&AIDS.

Tuberculosis was among the diseases taught during the training

The Trainees at VTC were very attentive during the training.

The cafeteria

Today we feature pupils from Rev. Kareri Primary School taking tea at the new cafeteria. They look relaxed and are really enjoying their breakfast.

For maximum concentration in class they needed to store something inside their stomach. I guess they were at the right place!

They had to pause for this photo....

Their teachers too came to the cafeteria for breakfast.

Students from King College Visits ECC

It was a visit by students from The King college from the United States of America. The students were given a very warm welcome as they walked around the entire institution just to see what the centre does. They also stopped by the basket ball pit for a match with some ECC staff and students.

The game!

Rev. Kareri pupils too could not be left out.

Mrs Mumbi had to pick her keys, but i guess she was very careful, not to be hit by the ball.

It was a tough match really, the STED Manager had to untuck his shirt and fold his sleeves!

ECC staff, together with students from Rev. Kareri as they cheered joyfully in the field.

They must be enjoying the lunch! The Home Management Trainees, served them best.

After logn playfull and interaction day, they had to take something for their stomachs at the new cafeteria.

Rev. Kareri Primary School reopens for the second term of the year

Rev. Kareri Primary School reopens for the second term of the year, all pupils from standard one to standard 1 are back from the holiday. Things seem to be as usual as the pupils resume classes. The school also is enrolling new pupils from other schools.

Its a game worth watch!

Though fresh and new to the learning environment, these little ones from Rev. Kareri Kindergarten are so comfortable in an environment that is away from home.

Badminton seems to be the best!
